Reflecting on my reserach journey has been an challenging but fulfilling experience. Through writing about the issues of playing the piano with small hands, I've deepened my understanding of both the instrument and my own capabilities and skills. Each post, whether it's an analysis of Scriabin's Sonata or discussions on adaptive techniques, has allowed me to explore various approaches of piano performance (and pedagogy) on my own and with help of the teachers.
My goal is to document my personal experiences and struggles. I want to keep sharing my story of how I've had to adapt my playing style and choose suitable repertoires to accommodate my hand size. This process has been both challenging and rewarding, as I've had to think creatively and find solutions that work for me.
As I continued to explore, I realized that my topic resonates with many other pianists who face similar issues. The feedback and interaction from other musicians have been incredibly motivating. This feeling of community and shared experience is something I appreciate deeply. It has reinforced my belief that, despite physical limitations, perseverance and creativity can lead to excellence in piano performance.
Additionally, my blog has allowed me to delve into the technical aspects of piano playing. Writing about techniques, fingerings, and tricks has not only improved my own playing but also provided valuable content for my readers. It's a continuous learning process, and each post represents a step forward in my musical journey.
Overall, I hope my blog will become a place for connection, education, and inspiration. It's a testament to the resilience and adaptability required to improve in piano performance, and it serves as a reminder that challenges can be overcome with dedication and creativity. Through my writing, I aim to support and inspire other pianists to find their own paths to success, regardless of the obstacles they may face.
